September 15. Constitution Day Commemorative Debate. Alumni vs Students on the Josh Davey's Supreme Court decision. Students Jordan Goddard and Gideon Copple faced alumni Nathan and Mercy Novak on the topic: Resolved: Washington State is wrong to deny financial aid to students studying for the ministry. The debate was held in Millard Hall and about 25 people attended. The event helped the University secure a legal commitment associated with Federal loans.
