US Flag at Half Staff

Governor Jay Inslee has asked that Washington State and United States flags be lowered to half-staff on Monday, July 1, 2013, in memory of Specialist Robert W. Ellis, 21, of Kennewick, Washington. He died on June 18 in Bagram, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with indirect fire. He was assigned to 68th Combat Sustainment Battalion, 43rd Sustainment Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colorado.

Flags should remain at half-staff until sunset/close of business on Monday, July 1 or first thing Tuesday morning, July 2.
