Warnings and Notifications

Timely Warnings

In the event that Northwest University receives pertinent information that a Clery Act crime has occurred on or near the campus and is a serious or ongoing threat to students or employees a timely warning will be diseminated. A timely warning is provided to enable people to protect themselves. Timely warning are usually issued using NU’s Campus Alert System but may also be provided via email, the university website, notices in common areas, and electronic bulletin boards.

Emergency Notifications

Upon confirmation that a dangerous situation or significant emergency exists or threatens the health or safety of students or employees an emergency notification will be provided. Emergency notifications may be provided for any significant emergency or dangerous situation.

Sometimes a situation may warrant both a notification and a timely warning to be issued.
