Denise Englehart
I have been at Northwest University since 2010 when my son entered NU as a freshman. I received my nursing education at Louisiana State University (BSN 1978) and the University of Washington (MSN 1987). Work experience as a nurse includes staff nursing at Oshner Hospital PICU, and overseas in American Samoa, Aukland General New Zealand, and Galmi Hospital Niger, West Africa. Prior to coming to Northwest University, I was employed as a family nurse practitioner with community health clinics in the south end of King County and West Seattle. I am returning to the nursing field after homeschooling my 3 children for the last 10 years. Areas of interest include cross-cultural nursing and end of life issues.
Married 1990 to Chris Englehart. Together we have three children: Daniel, 20, (a sophmore at NU studying pastoral ministry); Micah, 17, and Charley (a 14 year old daughter).I enjoy hiking, long walks, bicycling, and reading. We attend Grace Church in White Center.
