Work Study
The purpose of the Northwest University Work Study program is to provide financial assistance to financially needy students by facilitating part-time employment. To participate, you must be awarded "Work Study" as part of your financial aid package. There are Work Study jobs on-campus and off-campus. Funds awarded for Work Study are not counted in calculating balance owed.
Washington State Work study
Washington State Work Study employees work off-campus and are paid by their employer. It is highly recommended that students find Washington State Work Study jobs that are related to academic or career goals. Washington State Work Study positions are administered by the Financial Aid Services Office. Students must be non-religious majors to qualify. Although Northwest University does not guarantee each student a Work Study position, many employment opportunities are available for students to pursue in the community.
If you are not eligible for the Work Study program you may seek employment through the Job Search Program. The Job Search Program is ready to assist you in identifying part-time employment when you arrive at Northwest University. Information regarding the Job Search Program can be obtained through the Human Resources Office.
Federal Work study
Federal Work Study employees work on-campus and are paid by the university. Students work an average of 12-15 hours per week. The Federal Work Study program is administered by the Financial Aid Services Office. Employment applications can be found at the Human Resources Office or online at www.northwestu.edu/current/jobs (This job application is the same one required for full-time employment.)
