The Core Team is comprised of the NUSG President, Executive Vice President, Vice President of Activities, Vice President of Communications and Marketing, and Vice President of Finance. This team assists in providing overall leadership to NUSG as a whole.
Samantha Price – NUSG President

Major: Counseling Psychology
Why did you apply for your position? I adore my NU family and am so excited to hear their voice and make change seen campus.
What are you most excited for this year through NUSG? To connect further with students and administration in the coming together of loving our school well and being proud to be Eagles!
Samantha Quigley – Executive Vice President

Why did you apply for your position? I loved serving on Senate last year and wanted to continue serving through Senate just in a higher capacity.
What are you most excited for this year through NUSG? I’m super stocked for this year’s Senate and everything we will accomplish together!
Lauren Curry – Vice President of Activities

Major: Organizational Comm with a minor in Intercultural Studies
Why did you apply for your position? I am passionate about community, having fun and connecting. I wanted to somehow get involved and knew this would be the perfect position to apply for!
What are you most excited for this year through NUSG? I am not only excited to meet the new students of 2016 but also to bring in new, fun activities that will unite NU and give everyone an opportunity to be apart of the exciting things going on!
Amanda Fox – Vice President of Communications and Marketing
Major: Intercultural Studies
Why did you apply for your position? I applied for my position in NUSG because I wanted to use my creative skills to help students feel like they belong to the community of NU.
What are you most excited for this year through NUSG? I am most excited for the late nights of hard work to put on events and the comradery we will all be a part of because of it!
Jelsy Gundao – Vice President of Finance
Hometown: Tacoma, WA
Major: Marketing and Accounting
Why did you apply for your position? I applied to be the VP of Finance because NU has many programs and clubs that benefit its students along with the possibilities of new ones forming. All of these things need funding and I want to be part of the proper allocation of funds in order to further benefit our student body.
What are you most excited for this year through NUSG? I am most excited about personally working with our clubs and being able to be part of the new model of NUSG.
