Orchestra Instructor

Job Title: Orchestra Instructor

Position Type: Faculty, Exempt, Part-time 10 mo.

Reports to: Division Head

Start Date: August 2017 for 2017-2018 School Year

Salary: Dependent on Experience

The Bear Creek School is a classical Christian School for Preschool – 12th grade. We are a nondenominational, private, day school accredited by the Northwest Association of Independent Schools (NWAIS). Please see our website, www.tbcs.org, for additional information.

Job Summary
This position will lead the growth and development of the orchestra program, which currently includes 5th, 6th and combined 7th and 8th grade ensembles.

Requirements:
Job Responsibilities
• Experience in orchestral education
• Ability to teach a wide range of students
• Understanding of string instrument pedagogy
• A vision for growth of the program into the upper school (9th-12th grades)
