After School Caregiver

Looking for a part-time, after-school caregiver for our 16-year-old autistic son. He is sweet, funny and non-verbal but uses a communication device effectively. Duties will include getting him off the bus, helping him with his after-school routine, participating in his ABA therapy with his therapist, keeping home picked up, some light meal preparation and some laundry (as part of his "life-skills" tasks).

This is a great opportunity if you are interested in working with special-needs kids. You will have the chance to work with a BCBA (Board Certified Behavioral Analyst) and ABA tutor on communication, working with others and life-skills (laundry, cooking, making the bed).

Hours - M, T, Th, F 2:30-6:00, Wed 1:15-6:00

1-2 or more years experience as a nanny/caregiver ideal but willing to train. Experience with autism is a huge plus however not a requirement for the right person. If you are energetic, a creative problem solver, organized, take initiative and you have a reliable car and a working cell phone, I would love to talk.
