Summary:

FT /40 hrs. per week. This person will provide oversight of certification (licensing) of qualified foster homes, in your geographic area. They will ensure compliance with DLR requirements, investigation of licensing complaints, recruitment and retention of foster homes. Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Social Services or a related field.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Implement the directives of the Program Supervisor and Certification Supervisor in the areas of overseeing the certification process, re-licensing foster homes, and retaining current foster homes; and providing quality customer service.
Oversight of program in your geographic area which may include:
Administrative duties; filing, data-entry into Welligent and Inquiry databases.
Respond to new inquiries in a timely manner.
Follow up with each potential foster family in accordance with the established follow up procedure.
Support potential foster families in the completion of their requirements for certification.
Support and coordination of the certification process for prospective families including: Olive Crest’s mission, values and practices; compliance with DLR requirements; pre-service training, and the home assessment process.
Participate in the assessment and on-going development through the certification process.
Support and coordinate the re-licensing of foster homes, and amend licenses as necessary.
Support and conduct annual licensing home visits.
Support and conduct investigations of licensing complaints and assist in gathering information as well as supporting families through the investigation process.
Consult with intake and case management staff regarding placement, home study and licensing issues.
Communication with various Division of Licensed Resources contacts.
Assist in ensuring accreditation, State and Olive Crest standards are being met.
Prepare needed and as requested reports and data information.
Willing to work evenings and weekends in order to meet with families who are unable to meet during regular working hours or attend recruitment events/presentations.
Read, edit, approve Home Studies written for your families.
Participate in weekly Program meetings and supervision.
Assist with recruitment and retention strategies and implementation of foster families in assigned geographic area.
Other duties as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in social services or a related field.
Knowledge and experience with foster care licensing.
Demonstrated ability to organize, plan and follow through with assigned tasks and to present oneself as mature and professional.
Drive to homes within the assigned geographical area.
Live in assigned geographical area or within reasonable distance to the Bellevue office.
Willing to work evenings and weekends in order to meet with families who are unable to meet during regular working hours or attend recruitment events/presentations.
Demonstrated ability and experience to provide quality customer service to various constituents while keeping safety as a priority.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A Master’s Degree in Social Work/Social Services or three years experience preferred.
Knowledge and previous experience with foster care service delivery.
Experience and high comfort level working with various cultures and faith-based communities.
