Writing Center

The Writing Center is located in Williams Hall, right next to the Academic Success office (W-10) and is open on Mondays through Fridays from 3:30 to 6:30 pm, and on Sundays from 2:30 to 6:30 pm.  The mission of the Writing Center is first to help students become better writers and second, to help writers become more self-sufficient and confident by providing them with attention, tools, and time to facilitate the writing process.

•  Students can sign up for a Writing Center session by simply clicking on the "more information" link below and following the instructions.
•  Each session is 30 minutes long.
•  Students can drop in for a session, but scheduled writers get priority.
•  If a student is more than 5 minutes late, he/she may forfeit your session to a writer who drops in for assistance. However, if the student knows that he/she will be a few minutes late, he/she can call the Academic Success Office at (425)889-5227 and they will communicate with the tutor to hold the spot.
•  Students must remove their name from the schedule if they cannot attend their session.

Math Center

We would like to provide you with additional math instruction and assistance to students participating in math classes as a part of the LEAP program.  You can sign up for a tutoring session  by simply clicking on the "more information" link and following the instructions.  Our math tutor, Pat Forbes, is available to meet with students on Tuesdays (individual appointments) from 3:30 to 5:30 pm outside HSC-231/233 and from 4:30 to 5:30 pm (drop-in group) in HSC-229.

•  Each session is 30 minutes long, but feel free to sign up for multiple slots.
•  You can drop in for a session, but scheduled students get priority.
•  If you know that you will be a few minutes late, call Daniela at (425)889-7793 and she will let the tutor know.
•  You must remove your name from the schedule if you cannot attend your session.
•  Please remember that you are responsible for the assignments you submit and cannot hold the tutor responsible for the grade you earn.
