A devastating shipwreck separates twins Viola and Sebastian of Messaline and each are assumed dead by the other. Viola finds herself cast onto the shores of an unfamiliar land. Without the means to provide for her welfare, Viola disguises herself as a servant boy and joins the household staff of the Duke Orsino of Ilria. Orsino is passionately wooing the beautiful Countess Olivia. Unfortunately for him, Olivia has sworn company of all men while she mourns the death of her brother-for seven years! The Duke’s plan of gaining audience with the Countess by means of the youthful Viola-disguised as the boy “Cesario”-begins to unravel when Olivia falls in love with the boy. The situation is further complicated by the tender feelings of love Viola feels for her new master, Orsino.
