Training Room Information
The NU Athletic Training room hours of operation vary with the different sports seasons. Typical treatment times are 1:00 – 6:00pm in the fall; 2:00 – 8:00pm in the winter; and 2:00 – 6:00pm in the spring. Weekend hour are dependent upon game schedules (ie- winter double-header basketball games on Friday and Saturday begin at 5:00 and 7:30pm, with the training room open 3:00 – 10:00pm).
Northwest University has placed the Eligibility forms, Secondary Insurance forms, and Recruit Participation form online for ease of access and completion. Please feel free to contact the NU Head Athletic Trainer via telephone or e-mail (see below).
NU Training Room Staff
Larry Brown enters his second year on the athletic training staff as Head Athletic Trainer.
Brown, who earned masters degrees in athletic training and education, completed 36 years in secondary education and 27 years of coaching prior to his employment at Northwest University as Head Athletic Trainer. He earned his athletic training certification from the NATA in 1988, and has 21 years of head athletic training experience. Brown was inducted into the Washington State Wrestling Coaches Hall of Fame in 1995. Prior to his coaching experience, Brown competed as a college wrestler and earned NAIA All-American honors.
Prior to his hiring at NU, he served as the Head Athletic Trainer at Fife High for ten years and Liberty High for six years. He served as Head Athletic Trainer for Emerald Downs and the Women’s Sounder Select Team. He worked the Good Will Games assigned to both the men’s and women’s international basketball teams.
