Campus Crime and Fire Report
For a community of approximately 1,500 students and 500 staff and faculty, Northwest University is a relatively safe place to be; however, it is subject to the same problems that occur in the greater urban communities in which it is located. The report below has been prepared to increase your awareness of the current programs that exist to protect your safety and well-being. Portions are also provided in compliance with the Higher Education Opportunity Act (Title 20 U.S. Code Section 1092 Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics), also known as the Jeanne Clery Act.
The act requires annual reporting of the number of specified criminal offenses and fires reported to Campus Security and local law enforcement. It also requires disclosure of specific campus policies and procedures. Statistics are reported for the last three calendar years and must be released to the public by October.
