Influenza

Influenza (the flu) is a disease that primarily affects people’s airways and lungs. It is caused by influenza viruses that easily spread from person to person in schools, workplaces, public environments, and homes.  Public Health – Seattle & King County recommend that everyone over 6 months of age get the annual flu vaccine to prevent sickness, unnecessary healthcare visits, hospitalizations, and deaths from influenza.

The seasonal flu vaccine is available at the NU Wellness Center.
