Community Prayer

Vision

A community united in prayer, partnering with God and aligning with His heart to spur faith, awaken hearts, and grow more alive in Christ.

Description

As part of the Campus Ministries department, Community Prayer offers students at Northwest the opportunity to join Christ in His restorative mission by uniting in prayer for our community—students, staff, faculty, our campus, and the Kirkland area. It is a sacred space to enter God’s presence with humility and worship, seeking His will for Northwest University. All students are welcome to experience more of what God is doing on campus and grow in the spiritual practice of prayer.

What to Expect

During Community Prayer, we will pray individually, in small groups, and in large groups to seek God’s will and intercede for His purposes. Through these times of prayer, we grow in understanding of God and the practice of prayer, while experiencing joy, freedom, peace, and an abundance of hope, helping make Northwest University a campus marked by prayer.

Description

The Prayer Team is made up of students passionate about seeing God’s will fulfilled in every person on campus and committed to responding to the call to pray. This team serves the community by standing in the gap for specific people and needs. The Prayer Team’s role is to offer intentional prayer for others at gatherings throughout the year—such as The Way, chapel services, and other events—allowing God to bring His hope and strength to students.

What to Expect

Commit to at least three events each semester (more participation is welcome!)

Gather for preservice prayer before events

Attend a Prayer Team training to prepare and grow in your role

How to Join

If you’re interested in joining the prayer team, attend our Prayer Team training on Wednesday, September 10th at 4:00 PM. We will share important information and help you feel prepared and confident to serve. If you cannot attend, contact Kelsey, the Prayer Coordinator, for next steps.
