Resignations and Exit Process

Process Overview
- Departing staff members except Directors and Administrators gives a 10 working day notice and submits a signed resignation letter including an effective date to his/her supervisor.
- Departing Directors and Administrators gives a 20 working day notice and submits a signed resignation letter including an effective date to his/her supervisor.
- Supervisor forwards a copy of the resignation letter(s) to HR for processing.
- HR sends Supervisor (Exit) Recommendation form letter to supervisor. Supervisor recommends if departing employee is eligible for rehire and sends back to HR.
- HR meets with departing employee on their last day of employment and conducts the exit meeting for turning in keys, ID card, credit card(s) etc.
