Payment Options

Northwest University offers several methods to make a payment toward your University Account, which are described below.

Bank declined payments returned to Northwest University, for insufficient funds or any other reason, may incur a Returned Item Fee of $30. Additionally, after three return payment fees in one academic year, the University Account may be restricted to payment with secured funds only (wire, cashier’s check, money order, or cash) until two consecutive semesters of successful payments are completed.

Make a Payment Online

Sign into your University Account page to view transactions, manage refunds, get tax statements, or make an online payment using these methods:

  • Electronic Check
    You’ll need your bank account and routing numbers, found at the bottom of a paper check or within your online banking site/app.
  • Visa or MasterCard Credit Card – includes debit cards with the Visa or MasterCard logo
    A 1.5% service fee will be added to credit card payments.

Parents or other sponsors can make an online payment to a student’s University Account through the My Payments system.

Make a Payment In Person

Visit the Cashier’s Office in Bronson Hall to make an in-person payment using these methods:

  • Check
    Checks should be made out to Northwest University and include your 9-digit University ID Number on the Memo line.
  • Debit Card
    You must use the PIN from your bank to avoid a service fee.
  • Visa or MasterCard Credit Card
    A 1.5% service fee will be added to credit card payments.

Make a Payment by Mail

Send payments to Cashier’s Office / Northwest University / PO Box 579 / Kirkland, WA 98083-0579 to make a payment by mail using this method:

  • Check
    Checks should be made out to Northwest University and include your 9-digit University ID Number on the Memo line.

International Student Payments

Nelnet Payment Plan

Students in certain academic populations may enroll in a payment plan to break education costs into easy-to-handle monthly payments, rather than pay for the entire semester or year in one large sum. Learn about payment plans and fees for your student population:

Employee Payroll

Account balances owed by Northwest University employees will be automatically subtracted from their end-of-month payroll deposit. Employees who do not wish to have their payroll affected must make a payment using one of the options above before the 20th day of the month.
