Background

Dr. Schamp has a Ph.D. in Counseling from Oregon State University and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from George Fox University.  She is a clinical practitioner and counselor educator, with 21 years of experience in clinical work with individuals, couples, and families.

In addition to her therapy practice, Dr. Schamp has been a clinical director, faculty member and clinical supervisor at a number of Oregon universities. She served as Clinical Coordinator for Oregon State University graduate programs (Ph.D. in Counseling, Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and Master in School Counseling).   Most recently she left a full-time teaching and leadership position at Corban University, following several years as Associate Professor & Internship Placement Supervisor in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program.   

​Dr. Schamp has also provided clinical training and humanitarian aid internationally, and serves on the Board of Directors for TELOS International, Inc.  She is currently part of a team of clinicians and counselor educators facilitating clinical training of counselors and Christian leaders in Peru.
