Jameson Bratcher

Jameson Bratcher performs anywhere that a tuba can fit. He has performed with traditional ensembles such as The Pacific Northwest Ballet, Lake Washington Symphony Orchestra, and Philharmonia Northwest and chamber ensembles like The Evergreen Brass Quintet and The Choppers. Jameson takes special pleasure in nonindigenous tuba and trombone appearances such as live performances and recordings SYML, Deep Sea Diver, Kings Kaleidoscope, Citizens, and The Sing Team. He also co-founded The Sound Ensemble, a modern chamber orchestra dedicated to making the music of underrepresented living composers accessible to all.
Deeply involved in not only the creation of music but of young musicians, Jameson works with the Seattle and Cascade Youth Symphonies and teaches in six different Puget Sound school districts as a brass coach. He also maintains a private studio. Jameson is deeply blessed to have studied with John Van Houten (LA studio musician) while earning his B.M. in Tuba Performance at Azusa Pacific University; Warren Deck (New York Philharmonic) and Kathleen Brantigan (Founder, Denver Brass) while earning his M.M. in Tuba Performance and in masterclasses with Gene Pokorny (Chicago Symphony).
