Mission
We the Mosaic team strive to celebrate the image of God with our Northwest Family through the love and embracement of all cultures. Our goal is to build intentional relationships centered around reconciliation and biblical justice despite different viewpoints.
Events
- Courageous Conversations
- A campus wide discussion on current topics (Allyship, Mental Health, Cultural Appropriation, Faith and Feminism, etc.)
- Reel Talk
- A movie night to highlight various cultures by discussing stereotypes, cultural appropriation, and keeping students on campus aware of the different cultures represented on campus (Just Mercy, Crazy Rich Asians, The Hate U Give, The Book of Life, Cocoa, The Greenbook, etc.)
- Middle Ground
- Discussing controversial topics to find a middle ground (reconcile) between two sides of one topic.
- Multicultural Worship Night
- A night of worship and prayer from students who speak different languages (Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Russian, German, Hawaiian, etc.)
- Words Of Wisdom
- A night where we learn about a current topic from an educated and experienced speaker.
Student leaders on this team meet weekly and come together to plan events such as movie nights or panels on tough topics.
