NU SwoopShop – Exchange Policy

Thank you for shopping at the SwoopShop! We want to ensure you are thrilled with your purchase. This policy outlines the conditions under which you can exchange an item. Please note that all sales are final, and we do not offer returns/refunds or in-store credits. ALL exchanges are subject to Manager approval.

I. Exchange Period

  1. You can exchange an item within 30 calendar days of the original purchase date for merchandise of equal/greater value. No returns or in-store credits will be offered.
  2. For purchases in the month of May, require all exchanges to take place prior to May 31st (end of fiscal year). No exchanges will be allowed after May 31st from the previous fiscal year (June 1st through May 31st).
  3. Exchanges will not be allowed 31 calendar days (and later) after the purchase date.

II. Condition of Merchandise

Our merchandise is thoroughly inspected upon receipt from vendors to ensure no damaged or defective products are displayed for sale. We check for stains, rips/tears, sizing, odors, etc. to ensure excellent quality merchandise. The following conditions on merchandise for exchanges are required:

  1. Merchandise must be unused, unwashed and in the same condition as when you purchased it (items cannot have stains, smells, damage, pet hair, etc.).
  2. Merchandise must have all original tags/packaging and be in sellable condition.
  3. Verification of original sale (e.g., email receipt) is required for all exchanges.

III. Items not Eligible for Exchange

  1. Sale/clearance merchandise.
  2. Perishable goods.
  3. Customized and graduate/academic/calendar year specific merchandise.
  4. Hygiene-sensitive products.

IV. Exceptions

  1. We do not allow exceptions to this policy.

V. How to Request an Exchange

  1. To initiate an exchange, please visit our store location during regular operating hours to request an exchange.
  2. If you have any questions, please contact Human Resources at hr@northwestu.edu.

VI. Policy Updates

  1. Northwest University and the SwoopShop reserves the right to update this policy at any time.
