Ensemble Auditions

Welcome to the audition information and registration for Northwest Choralons, Concert Choir, Wind Ensemble, and Chamber Orchestra! All auditions take place during the first week of the semester, except for Northwest Choralons band auditions, which occur the Spring prior for the following academic year. No auditions are required for Northwest Drum Line. See each group for its specific audition schedule.

Northwest Choralons

Northwest Choralons choir

Auditions take place the first week of classes each semester. This ensemble meets Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 2:40-3:30pm, beginning the second week of the semester in Fall and the first week of the semester in Spring. Please read the instructions and sign up for an audition time below. Director: Dr. Dave Pedde: dave.pedde@northwestu.edu 

Audition details:

1. Please prepare a song (a capella or accompanied) for your audition.
2. Print and fill out the Choralons Audition Form below, or pick up a copy in the Amundsen Music Center.
3. Auditions will take place in the Amundsen Music Center (below the Chapel).

Northwest Choralons band

Auditions take place in the spring for the following school year. This ensemble meets Tuesdays from 3:00-4:45pm beginning the third week of the semester. 

Audition details:

1. Please check back for details of what to prepare for your audition.
2. Print and fill out the Choralons Audition Form below.
3. Auditions will take place in the Chapel.

Concert Choir

Auditions take place during the first week of each semester. This ensemble meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-4:45pm, beginning the second week of the semester in Fall and the first week of the semester in Spring. Please read the instructions and sign up for an audition time below. Director: Prof. Lynn Hall: lynn.hall@northwestu.edu

Chamber Orchestra

Auditions take place during the first week of each semester. This ensemble meets Thursdays from 6:00-8:30pm, beginning the second week of the semester in Fall and the first week of the semester in Spring. Please read the instructions and sign up for an audition time below. Director: Dr. Naomi Fanshier: naomi.fanshier@northwestu.edu

1. Please prepare a 3-4 minute solo or etude for your audition that best illustrates your highest level of playing.
2. Print and fill out the Chamber Orchestra Audition Form below, or pick up a copy in the Amundsen Music Center.
3. Auditions will take place in the Amundsen Music Center (below the Chapel). 

Wind Ensemble

Auditions take place during the first week of each semester. This ensemble meets Thursdays from 6:00-8:30pm, beginning the second week of the semester in Fall and the first week of the semester in Spring. Please read the instructions and sign up for an audition time below. Director: Dr. Naomi Fanshier: naomi.fanshier@northwestu.edu

No audition required. Register through self-service or contact Dr. Naomi Fanshier: naomi.fanshier@northwestu.edu for more information. This ensemble meets Thursdays 5:00-6:00pm, beginning the first week of school.
