Gachon University
Gachon has become one of Korea’s best Medical schools since its opening in 1998. In 2006, the school merged with Gil college and soon began to focus on science and medicine. Gachon specializes in areas such as bio-science, health, nursing, physical education, medicine management, and medical engineering.
Am I eligible:
Gachon receives around 50 students every year for clerkship or internship study. This is available from the school year and also the summer term. You must be approved by the Provost.
Visas:
You are required to have a D-2 Visa to study in Korea. To apply for this Visa from the Korean consulate or embassy near you , you must submit:
- An Application form found at www.hikorea.go.kr
- Passport
- Certificate of admission
- Bank Statement or a scholarship certificate proving you maintain a minimum balance or have a scholarship certificate
- Two photos
- Visa Processing Fee
- Any other documents required by Korean Consulate
Language:
The regular classes for Gachon are taught in English. However, during the Summer Special Program, topics of Korean culture and Korean classes are held 2-3 times a week. Korean cultural activities are held on Fridays as well.
Campus Life:
The campus consists of many different buildings of study. The campus has connections with heart centers, eye centers, emergency centers and the like. Although the campus is small, they have connections in big places. They have state of the art medical and science programs giving students access to everything from a diverse workout room to an MRI machine.
