Ewha Womans University

Eligibililty:

Ewha offers a coeducational international program and welcomes all students, both make and female, to study for one to two semesters as a non-degree seeking exchange or visiting student. This program is open to both undergraduate and graduate students enrolled as full-time students in any accredited institution of higher education. There is no language requirement but all applicants are required to have a GPA of over 2.5/4.0.

Application Materials:

Please email swcele@northwestu.edu to complete NU’s Study Abroad Application and navigate the necessary steps for being approved for studying abroad.

Steps to Apply:

  1. Research what courses you would like to take at Ewha.
  2. Meet with you academic adviser or with the advising office to incorporate the Study Abroad courses into your academic plan of study.
  3. Complete the NU Study Abroad Application and short essay and schedule an interview with eh Associate Provost by emailing swcele@northwestu.edu
  4. Once approved to study abroad, collect the signatures from the necessary departments as indicated on NU’s Study Abroad Application (Associate provost, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Student Development, advisors).
  5. Complete Ewha’s application and submit it to the Registrar’s office to be forwarded to our partners. Letters of Recommendation should be sent directly to Ewha.

Tuition:

For our Korean Sister Schools, the tuition cost is the same as NU tuition and any NU scholarships will apply.

Visa:

A valid student visa (D-2) is required for all international exchange students. Upon acceptance to Ewha, students will be issued an Acceptance Letter and a Certificate of Admission in their admission packets. The two documents are needed when applying for the D-2 visa. Official Transcripts and Credit Transfer:

Courses taken at our Korean Sister Universities are transferable to NU. Official transcripts from Ewha will be issued upon completion of a semester and will be mailed to NU.
