Applying for On-Campus Housing
Ready to apply for housing in the residence halls?
Are you under the age of 25 years old? Here’s how to apply for on-campus housing in the residence halls:
- Access the Campus Housing portal.
- Sign in with your NU email address and password.
Example: firstname.lastname24@northwestu.edu / northwest000123456 - Under the black Applications drop-down menu, select the application that applies to you.
- If you are a CELE/Exchange student, click on the CELE-EXCHANGE Student Application.
- If you are an international student entering the traditional undergraduate program, click on the NEW Student Application.
- Read and sign the Agreement, then click “Continue.”
- Complete the application questions, then click “Continue.”
- Housing Placement Fee: All students are charged a fee to be assigned housing.
- If you are entering the CELE program, you will be charged a $100 CELE housing placement fee at the beginning of the semester to your student account.
- If you are entering the traditional undergraduate program, you will be prompted to pay a $150 housing placement fee with a debit or credit card at the end of your housing application. Your application will not be complete until you pay this fee.
- Class Registration: If you are entering the traditional undergraduate program, you must register for classes before you can receive a housing assignment!
- When you receive a housing assignment, you will receive a placement email from housing@northwestu.edu. You also can log in to My Housing (instructions above), and your housing assignment will be listed.
