Friday, August 28, 2026, 8:00am – 4:00pm in Argue HSC 233.
The Buntain School of Nursing Orientation is MANDATORY and exceptions are not made. If there is a scheduling conflict with NU Welcome Weekend events, the BSON Orientation has priority.
NU Welcome Weekend
Thursday, August 27 – Sunday, August 30, 2026
NU Welcome Weekend is MANDATORY for students who are new to Northwest University. You will receive information from Student Development regarding specific dates and times. The only exception to attending NU Welcome Weekend is Friday, August 28, BSON Orientation, in Argue HSC 233. If there is a scheduling conflict, the BSON Orientation has priority over NU Welcome Weekend.
Consecration
Tuesday, September 29, 2026, 7:00-8:00pm in the Butterfield Chapel.
The Buntain School of Nursing at Northwest University prepares graduates to answer their call to serve God throughout the world and lead others by using their professional expertise as nurses. The Consecration service celebrates the new junior cohort and dedicates the students to the Lord as they answer their call to professional nursing practice.

Junior Weekly Course Schedules
The schedule will be full, intense, exciting, and fun. A typical week includes lecture classes and nursing skills lab Monday through Wednesday and clinical is on Thursday and Friday. The nursing program is time-intensive and academically rigorous. We recommend any outside work be limited to one 8-hour shift per week.
