Kirkland Campus Wi-Fi

Use the instructions on this page to connect to Wi-Fi while on the Kirkland Campus.  Please contact the Information Technology Office if you have problems or questions.

Students & Employees

Connect to the NU_Wireless network and enter your NU email address and password when prompted.

  • iOS and iPadOS users: Trust the network certificate.
  • Android users: select PEAP and/or EAP/MD5 as the authentication methods, Do Not Verify certificates, and leave the Anonymous Identity field empty.

Gaming Consoles and Media Players

Connect to the NU_Devices network. The password is northwestu (all lower-case).

University-Issued Employee Computers

Connect to the NU_Employees network and enter your NU email address and password when prompted.

  • Employees’ personal devices (phones, etc.) should be connected to the NU_Wireless network.

New Wi-Fi Networks

We’re rolling out a new Wi-Fi system on campus, starting with the following buildings:

  • 6710 Building
  • Barton Building
  • Brodin Pavilion
  • Facilities Building
  • Greeley Wellness Center (NUhope)
  • Campus Duplexes
  • Student Apartments – Building C

Connection Instructions

Students and employees should connect their personal devices to the NU Wi-Fi network.
The password is Jesus First Jesus Always, including capitalization and spaces.

Internet of Things (“IoT”) devices that cannot connect to NU Wi-Fi should use the NU-Things network.
This network is hidden and the password is Internet, with a capital I.

Employees with University-issued laptops should connect to the NU Provisioned network.
Contact Information Technology to ensure your NU computer is registered and for connection instructions.

Employees who live in a campus duplex or FIRs apartment and who use a personal computer to work from home via Remote Desktop should connect to the hidden NU Residential Employees network.
