Requirements and Expectations

New Cohort Information

Please read this information carefully and follow directions completely.

Immunization Records 

• Evidence of current immunization status is required by all clinical sites (hospitals, long-term facilities, etc.). It is your responsibility to fulfill all requirements.

• You cannot participate in clinical courses without evidence of immunizations for the diseases listed on the Junior Information Page.

• All immunization documentation must be uploaded to American Data Bank by June 30, with the exception of the influenza vaccine which is required once it is available each fall. 

• You will receive a confirmation email when all immunization requirements are satisfactorily met.

• For any immunization questions, email the School of Nursing Office at bson-onboarding@northwestu.edu.

Travel Passport Requirements 

• Upload a copy of your travel passport to American Data Bank by June 30.
• The expiration date on your passport must be on or after October 31st of the year you graduate.

Prerequisite Completion Requirement 

Prerequisite courses taken outside NU must be completed by June 30, and courses taken at NU must be completed by the final day of the summer term. Any course with a failing grade must be completed by the end of NU’s Summer A term.
